D1   Take bus or car to Menghai, visit daily market where local people sell and buy local produces. Move on to Mengzhe, see Octagonal Pavilion on the way, which is one of the most famous Theravada Buddhism Buildings in Yunnan, from Mengzhe, drive further across basin and through villages to the trail head. Start trekking from edge of basin up mountains, cross a village of Bulang, then across 2 or 3 more villages of Aini Minority People. Walk of today is around 4 hours, some climbing but not difficult. Lunch at local restaurant en route, dinner with local host family. Stay in village of Aini for night.

D2    Start walk from overnight Aini village, mainly along tractor path between villages and mountain trails that local ethnic oxherds use, across farm land and forest, visit some more villages of Aini on the way, finally walk over mountains along a nice trail through woods to village of Bulang, cross their vast tea plantations and arrive at highway. Take bus or car back to Jinghong. Trekking of today is around 7 hours, some ascent, some descent, moderate difficulty. Simple breakfast, picnic lunch on the way. Tour finishes.
